According to Gail Anderson, “This is a really amazing time to be a designer.” When Gail started out, graphic art was a trade and designers were called “commercial artists.” Fast forward 30+ years and much has evolved. About Gail Anderson:
Gail Anderson is the director of design and digital media at the School of Visual Arts Press, and a partner at Anderson Newton Design. She serves on the board for the Type Directors Club and is chair of the design subcommittee for US Postal Service’s Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee. Anderson is the recipient of the 2008 AIGA Lifetime Achievement Medal, and is the author of Outside the Box, published by Princeton Architectural Press. Gail is also a judge for Print Magazine’s prestigious 2016 Regional Design Annual competition.
