About Scott Boylston:
Scott Boylston is a graduate coordinator of the Masters in Design for Sustainability at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and the author of three books. He founded SCAD’s Design Ethos ‘DO-ference,’ a workshop-based conference that brings together design practitioners with community leaders to address social and economic issues.
Scott is president of Emergent Structures, a non-profit organization dedicated to community-based material reclamation and re-use. He has published essays in design journals including Core 77, Design Observer, Communication Arts, and Sustainable Brands, and short stories in highly acclaimed literary journals. He speaks internationally on design and sustainability.
