Take Note

I bring a pad and pen to every meeting I attend – no matter how informal. There is just too much information that is critical to the projects I’m responsible for for me to retain it all. I also send email recaps of conversations I have to ensure that I and my client or co-worker are on the same page. Finally, I try to be succinct in those recaps by using bullet point lists as much as possible. These habits and behaviors have served me well given the complexity of the information intensive design projects I’ve been tasked with managing.

    taking notes has helped me a great deal especially when working on my companies magazine. Keeping information for each article in my head would be impossible. Taking good notes helps me keep things in order.
