This Old In-house: It’s All About You

Above is a slide taken from my upcoming InHOWse conference presentation on how to turbocharge you and your team at work. It’s a concise list of the non-design skills you need to develop to be successful in the corporate environment.

While they may not be aptitudes you currently possess or want to spend time on developing, I’m sorry to inform you that you pretty much have to. Some require experience, practice or a change of mindset like managing up and down. Others can be acquired by taking classes in public speaking, business writing or financial management (ugh).

Not to sound like a self-help guru or your mom, but check out the list and commit to developing at least one of the skills starting, let’s say, tomorrow.
