The super nice people over at JetPens.com sent me a small selection of pens right before Christmas. I’ve been using them to edit proofs and take notes and two have stood out as my favorites.
“The LePen is Marvy Uchida’s most popular pen and has a smooth writing micro-fine plastic point and a sleek barrel design. The ink is acid-free, non-toxic, smudge-proof on most papers and available in 18 fun colors. Good for business forms, notebooks, diaries, memo pads, letters, journals, yearbooks, and scrapbooks.”
This pen is fairly fine tipped but doesn’t crush easily. The colors are fun and stand out when making notes on proofs. Perfect for editors and designers!
2. Pilot Hi-Tec-C Gel Ink Pen .03
“Pilot Hi-Tec C pens are special pens that are currently very popular in Japan. They are highly sought after in the US, but are very difficult to find in stores. The fine tipped point of Pilot Hi-Tec C pens allow you to write with incredible precision. Moreover the ink is chemically formulated so that it will not bleed after it dries. Hi-Tec C fans immediately recognize the brilliant design of these pens. They are available in .25mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm and 0.5mm sizes and in a variety of colors.”
This pen creates an amazing fine line. I like to write with it but it would perfect for an illustrator or designer.
