SmashLAB, the creative agency led by principal Eric Karjaluoto, scored a top marketing award for the iPad app the team created to highlight their hometown of Vancouver, BC.
The Visit Vancouver app, developed for Tourism Vancouver, received the Platinum for Digital Marketing excellence by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International, during the group’s annual awards gala last month in New York City.
Visit Vancouver uses digital tours, photos and video to help prospective visitors plan their stay in Vancouver. When users arrive in the city, they can use the app to find restaurants, events and activities available in the city. The Visit Vancouver app rates a 4.5-star rating from users who’ve downloaded it from Apple’s App Store.
