Boy Coy: Using Parallax As Effective Web Design Tool

Yeah, I know, parallax is so 2012. But even the most tired of web trends has a place in the designer toolbox.

What I love about this Boy-Coy site is that it takes this tired effect and shows just how gorgeous it can be. Here, the designers didn’t settle for a two-layer approach with a foreground and background. Instead, they simply added a middle ground layer. The result gives you a really interesting 3D effect as you scroll. And this is, of course, accented by the visuals which add to the overall effect. In a nutshell, this site demonstrates a fun use of parallax, helping the brand stand out.
