Looking for a temporary interactive design gig? App developers Smart Levers is seeking a visual designer for an app they’re creating. The position begins immediately and is temporary full-time; it could lead to future projects. Click through to learn more and apply:
An iPad app that visualizes the data and information from the 27 Summer Olympic games held since 1896.
To design the look ‘n’ feel of the app and each of its screens, elements, and components.
Given the amount of information to be presented, the app is fairly wide and layered, with a world map and a timeline acting as anchors. Your challenge will be to create a visually appealing and intuitive environment that facilitates both immersion and seamless movement through the visualized information space.
The goal is to spark a level of engagement that keeps a user coming back for deeper dives into the data.
- Previous experience of designing visual media products (educational, archival, entertainment, or games) in any medium is a prerequisite.
- You’ll work in a virtual collaborative environment with the App Director, the Producer, and an engineering team.
The app’s content and conceptual blueprint are ready. You’ll use these to visualize and design the overall look ‘n’ feel of the app, as well as create the comps and final assets for the screens and individual elements therein.
The requirement is immediate and we anticipate the visual design phase to take up to two months of your effort, full-time. The subsequent integration and testing could take another two months where your inputs may be required intermittently on a part-time basis.
