The Junior Visual Designer is responsible for contributing to exceptional ARTstor user experience through innovative and quality visual design. The Junior Visual Design will be involved in all aspects of developing technology team documentation, including site requirements, transaction flows, navigation models, user interface components, and especially wireframes and design comps. A deep understanding of traditional graphic design and interaction design processes and an intense desire to learn new skills are crucial to success in this role.
As a key member of the technology team, the Junior Visual Designer will work actively in cross-unit functional groups to inform the development of new and existing online web applications. Working under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, senior developers, and information architect, the Junior Visual Designer will work closely with the software development team to produce high-quality solutions utilizing industry and ARTstor standards.
The Junior Visual Designer must have a firm grounding in the principles of graphic and interaction design. The candidate will be energetic and flexible, have keen interpersonal and communication skills, have the ability to work closely with a small dedicated team in a fast-paced environment, and will be committed to the delivery of high-quality service to users in the educational and arts community.
