The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for executing integrated marketing communication and visual strategy from concept through execution. This position provides professional graphic, multimedia, and photographic services to produce materials integrated across a variety of media including print, photography, web, multi-media, tablets or other new media. Communications should be designed with solid base in marketing research to advance, project, and protect the reputation and image of West Virginia University. This position will formulate design strategies for visual imagery, communications, promotion, and recruitment purposes. The position will work as part of an integrated marketing team to help develop new messages and imagery that coordinate with the official message and communications goals of WVU.

Located in Morgantown, WV—noted as one of the “best small cities in America” by multiple publications—WVU is a public, land-grant institution and a Carnegie Foundation “Research University,” with 13 colleges and schools offering 191 degree programs. The University enrolls around 29,000 students annually.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in design (graphic design/photography preferred) or a related field such as marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent. A Master’s degree is preferred. Requires 2-3 years of experience in design, photography, and new media (multimedia, flash, web, etc.) and 2-3 years of experience with market research and focus groups.
