Design Trends: Matching Your Digital Portfolio Design to Your Personal Style

Today’s site of the day demonstrates a critical part of an effective design portfolio; matching the site’s style to that of your work. This designer’s illustrative style is very consistent (and beautiful, no less). His site’s style is based on a vivid color pallet and a clean, rounded typeface. The work and presentation method are paired nicely and work together well. It’s very important that the message you’re sending in your portfolio matches the work itself. If the two don’t align, the overall quality goes in the tank. But when they match, as they do here, the results elevate the perception of the work and present it in a very positive, polished way.
