Designing for Fingers and Thumbs

Josh Clark, the author of Tapworthy, wrote a great piece for .net magazine about designing for touchscreens. If your interactive design skills are centered around the desktop web, this can be a big change. Josh highlights what he calls “thumb-thumping hot zones” of smartphones and the hot zones on tablets, and suggests a minimum size for tappable areas (spoiler alert: Tappable areas should be at least 44×30 pixels).
