Web designers might think that they can’t help how fast or slowly a site loads, but that’s not entirely true. Sites like this one are a good example of how a designer can control the experience by hiding objects until the user scrolls to them. Here the effect is fast and simple, but adds a beautiful extra touch, too. Along with helping reduce load times, I think it encourages the user to focus on what they are looking at a bit more.
