Job: Interactive Designer in the UC Office of the President

The University of California Office of the President seeks an Interactive Designer in Oakland, CA:

Our Communications team thinks that higher education and great design belong together and we’re telling the UC story in new and innovative ways. And we’re already receiving recognition for our work from Communication Arts, AIGA, UCDA and others, but we’re just starting the journey. There’s more to do, and we’re looking for a smart, energetic and engaged interaction designer to join our team to help do it. You care about the details but get the big picture, you’re mission driven and can make abstract ideas visually relevant, and you care about bringing new ideas in interaction design to the university. Small projects (posters, invitations, photo editing) and large projects (help establish our new UC brand, redesigning our web site) will be part of the mix, so we’re looking for versatile designers and critical thinkers to tackle the wide variety of work we see from concept to execution.
