Chair, School of Visual Arts’ Interaction Design MFA
Liz Danzico is an independent consultant, working with businesses to explore the relationship audiences have with their products and services through design research, information architecture, and design leadership. Recent projects have included Holton Media, MIT Technology Review, The TED Prize, and The Washington Post. She is the co-founder and chair of the MFA in Interaction Design Program at the School of Visual Arts. Danzico is a columnist for Interactions Magazine and Core77, the creator of the Dot Dot Dot Lecture series, and serves on the advisory boards for the Austin Center for Design, CreativeMornings and desigNYC.
Executive Creative Director, The Daily
John Kilpatrick is the senior vice president and executive creative director at The Daily, a first-of-its-kind daily national news publication built exclusively for the iPad and emerging digital platforms. Kilpatrick has spent his career spearheading projects on brand positioning, large-scale and large-audience digital content and interactive design, and is an expert on the emerging platform of tablet design. Kilpatrick was recently a featured panelist at the launch of Interbrand IQ’s Creative Issue at MoMA, and was featured in Communication Arts 2011 Interactive Annual. He helped start the AOL Artist series, a platform for collaboration for the creative community.
Design Meltdown and HOW Interactive Design
Patrick McNeil is the creator of Design Meltdown and Monster Meltdown and the content director for HOW Interactive Design. He wrote the best-selling Web Designer’s Idea Book series—the latest installment, The Designer’s Web Handbook, comes out in April. He frequently speaks at web design and development conferences, including HOW Design Live, the HOW Interactive Design Conference, the Creative Freelancers Conference and the Future of Web Design Conference, and is an instructor at the University of Missouri St. Louis and HOW Design University.
One Best of Show winner will be prominently featured in HOW’s March 2013 issue and will be our guest at their choice of our HOW Interactive Design Conference or HOW Design Live (round-trip airfare, hotel and registration paid by HOW).
