Museum Website: Unconventional Design and Unique Interface

For many years I have classified sites that don’t follow the normal layout rules as “Atypical.” For this site, this classification couldn’t be more on point. As always, with such an approach there are potential risks: For example, will users understand what I’m trying to accomplish? Will they be frustrated by the interface? Will all of the site’s content be accessible? Despite the challenges, this site proves going off of the grid, so to speak, can be an effective approach. While establishing a unique presence and breaking with convention,  the site remains easy to use, easy to understand and fun to explore.
