I’m not typically a big fan of funky layouts that mix the navigation in with the content in the way this site does. But one huge thing saves the design and makes it work: They placed the navigation at the top as well as mixing it into the array of content blocks. This singlehandedly changes everything. I have a surefire way to find the content I want. It might have been tempting to not replicate the navigation, but it makes the site easy to use while the huge grid of images fulfills a more visual purpose.
