Portfolio Design Trends: Demonstrating Left + Right-Brained Work

I’ve long wanted to design a personal site that summed up my interests in both technology and design. It’s often occurred to me that this mirrors the left-brained versus right-brained idea.

Over the years I’ve seen a few examples of sites communicating this relationship, but today’s site is by far my favorite. Interestingly, the left/right dynamic is subtle and woven into the design in a very simple way. It doesn’t take the concept too far with a cheesy theme around the “brain.” Instead, the site has each side of the brain on either side of the individual’s personal logo. It’s super simple but sums up the fact that he can work with both sides. Fortunately, his portfolio backs this up with amazing work spanning design and technology.
