Site of the Day: Punchfork

Punchfork website homepage

Punchfork.com demonstrates that there’s plenty of room in web design to get creative with your layout. It would’ve been easy for this site to be set up as a blog with the recipes as a series of posts. Instead, Punchfork’s homepage has a grid of recipes that create a tasty art landscape. The layout isn’t original, but it breaks with what the vast majority of food sites are doing. It reminds me to think creatively about content and find the most effective way to present it.
