Responsive Design for the Big Screen

In a world gaga over mobile and tablet design, it is always nice to see a site tailored to the big screen. I work on a 24″ monitor (two actually) running at a fairly high resolution. That said, many sites feel squished into a tiny space for no reason at all. When I run across a design like this I genuinely appreciate that they fill the space in a meaningful way. 03

 

Don’t forget that responsive design works both ways, and there is no reason why sites can’t scale up to the extreme. And by the way, this site does scale down extremely well.
