Site of the Day: Dineboss.com

Dineboss website homepage

If you spotted yesterday’s Site of the Day, you found a great example of a web design trend: blurred photography. Today’s SOTD offers another example. On this website homepage, for a staff-scheduling application for the hospitality industry, the blurry photo quickly helps establish the context for the product, in addition to adding an attractive stylistic element to the page. I’m going to guess that the typical restaurant owner is not super tech-savvy. Given that, I think this website takes a smart approach to selling the software: keep it simple. The site clearly articulates the product’s purpose and benefits, and drives the focus to the conversion point. Appropriately, the simple website design also reflects the easy-to-use nature of the product itself.
