Home page sliders seem impossible to avoid. They magically allow you to pack as many frames of content as you want into a fixed space. This means everyone in your organization (or your client’s) can be happy, because their oh-so-important message makes it onto the home page. Naturally, these widgets have become a bit of a design crutch. And though I might rail against them, websites like Papa Gino’s demonstrate that they can still be a useful element. Here you see a custom slider that focuses on five key elements. In fact, the slider is actually the primary navigation for the site. This combination of navigation, content and image slider is fantastic.
