I am ever the fan of minimalist website design, and this is a perfect example. This portfolio website for Summit Design & Website Development, a one-man firm, is devoid of any structural decoration and relies entirely on the imagery and copy to sell the designer’s capabilities. One element that caught my eye was the lead-in text. It isn’t bold and in-your-face and certainly isn’t a visual hook to pull you in. However, if you bother to read the intro copy, you get a very compelling sales pitch. And it isn’t hard to imagine that people will bother to read it, given the extremely streamlined approach of the website’s design. Don’t be fooled, though—design this simple is certainly not easy. Well done, Samuel.
