It can be tough to make a name for yourself as a graphic design student. But best-selling author and HOW U instructor Brian Miller just started a competition for students to gain recognition for their web and interactive work.
The student whose piece wins Best in Show will receive:
- A free copy of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium
- Admission to the HOW Interactive Conference
- Free registration in a HOW U online class
- The Above the Fold Award trophy
All winning entries will be:
The competition’s judges are Miller, Kristi-Lynn Jacovino (designer at LimeRed Studio), Mark O’Brien (author of A Website that Works), Amy Papaelias (assistant professor of graphic design at SUNY New Paltz) and Ian Yates (editor at Webdesigntuts+).
See all the rules and guidelines for entering here. Entries are just $10 each (great for students who don’t have a lot of extra ramen money!), and the deadline is May 4.
