While the one-page website is a major web design trend, I’m seeing a similar style that’s a close cousin. Many sites such as, pictured above, have landing pages that break from the rest of the site’s conventions. It’s a great way to make a page stand out on your site and to play with effects you might not want to implement across an entire website. As you scroll on this page, various bits of content lock into place for a bit while others continue to scroll. This isn’t your normal parallax but rather a clever solution for the content they’re presenting.
