The Workshop is looking for a web developer to manage and extend the website on a technical, programmatic level (integrating with the platform, writing web code, integrating other web services, managing content) as well as help develop a good looking user experience by working with our art director to help the site meet aesthetic goals. The Web Developer should be an excellent problem solver with an eye towards cross-browser compliance and best practices.

Experience in large scale website development and/or management
Substantial knowledge or relatable skills in most or all of these technical requirements:

  • Programming: Perl, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, common open source APIs and libraries
  • Web 2.0 technologies: ActiveMQ, REST APIs, web services integration, Apache Web Server, DBA skills, SQL
  • Web formats: HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, XPATH, DTDs
  • Able to work in the United States and available on two weeks notice

AWS Administration, AWS APIs, GWT, Java, J2EE, EJB, Spring, Facebook, Steam, Flash and ActionScript 3.0
