Washington DC based, privately funded e-commerce startup is seeking a designer to lead the company’s web and mobile web design efforts. You will be responsible for creating the visual look and feel of the site, as well as producing graphics files to be handed to our developer to code the site. You will also be responsible for producing digital marketing materials that are cohesive with the general site design and brand attributes.
We need someone on-site full time for 8 weeks, followed by part-time or contract based work (approx. 30 hours per month). We’re located in downtown DC at 1776, a shared startup co-working space. Competitive cash compensation.
Does this sound like you? You’re entrepreneurial, smart, and able to work well in a small team. You have an eye for web design coupled with an instinct for user experience and flows that will lead to a user-friendly and beautiful front end for the website. You’re excited by the prospect of designing the look and feel for innovative features for both web and mobile web, a consumer facing discovery engine, social integration, and e-commerce.
- Experience working with a developer on web design work is a must.
- Experience designing for e-commerce sites is a must.
- Web design with a focus on social integration is a big plus.
- Front end development experience is a plus.
