I am still amazed by how often I run into a designer who doesn’t have an online presence. Quite often the designer admits, “I know that I need one.” This simple site demonstrates how having a basic landing page is far better than not having an online identity. In fact, it might be all you need. This site belongs to a freelancer, and chances are if he didn’t have enough work he’d build a more complex site to attract clients.
What’s the takeaway? Don’t confuse simple, small or lesser with lower quality. If you do go the “far less is more” route, you have to make sure it’s top quality and distinguishable. This art director’s site feels super clean and worthy of representing a creative professional.
