Typically, websites that sell a piece of software, be it online or installed on your computer, will typically show you a bunch of screen shots that demonstrate how the app works. This “coming soon” promo site for WhitePage, a project-management tool that’s still in development, uses text to communicate its purpose and a background photo to show it in context. But that partially closed laptop gives just a tease of what the tool looks like. I imagine this was met with some resistance. But the site is a great example of how to draw visitors in with a little mystery. The sneak peek we get makes the app look slick and clean, and it makes me want to sign up to learn more.
