What if I register for a HOW Webinar, but am unavailable when it is scheduled to run?

If you're not available for the live HOW Webinar, you can access the archived presentation at any time that is convenient for you within 12 months of the live event. All webinars are recorded and are available on demand for registrants. You'll also be able to download PDFs of the speaker's presentation and submit questions via email during the archive period. Please note that because the webinars are available for on-demand viewing, there is no cancellation or refund of a registration.

How much does it cost to participate?
Cost varies by webinar; please see each individual webinar for pricing options.

How long is the webinar?
Generally, HOW webinars run one hour, with some additional time if needed to accommodate questions.

What are the technology requirements for viewing a HOW Webinar?
Hardware and Operating System Configurations:
• 200 MHz or faster
• 64 MB RAM minimum/128 MB recommended
• 16-bit sound card
• 65,000 (16-bit) color video display card
• Windows 2000/Windows XP or Apple Mac OS X 10.3

Media Players:
In order to access the event, you must have one of the following streaming media players and versions installed on your computer:
• Microsoft Windows Player 9 (Windows-only)
• RealPlayer 10 (Mac & Windows) and RealOne (Windows-only)

Internet Browsers:
In order to access the event, you must have either Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Netscape 7.1 browser for Windows operating systems. For accessing events via Mac operating systems you must have Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4.

Internet Connection:
Before you access the event, you should ensure that your browser is configured to stream media. You will need a minimum Internet connection of 28.8Kbps, a 56Kbps connection is recommended.

Cookies and JavaScript:
In order to access the event, your computer must have cookies and JavaScript enabled.

Not Supported: NS7.0, 7.1, 7.2, and prior versions. Safari, Mozilla, Opera

Media Player
Supported: RealPlayer 10.X
Generally Compatible, But Not Supported: Real 8, RealOne
Not Supported: Real G2

Note: Real Player MUST be installed AFTER Firefox. If you are having trouble, it could be because you've recently upgraded to a new release of Firefox (which may download automatically) and the plug-ins with Real Player aren't being read properly.

You may need to re-install Real Player if you recently upgraded your version of Firefox.

How do I access a HOW Webinar?
Once you've registered for the event, you'll receive an e-mail confirming your registration and providing instructions for accessing the event. Once the webinar begins, you'll receive additional instructions on how to use the webinar interface.

Can I listen to a HOW Webinar over the Internet?
Yes. We offer synchronized streaming audio over the Internet.

Can I view past HOW Webinars?
Yes. A list of past webinars is available in our On Demand index. Once you register, you have unlimited access to the archived event.
